Courses
LET1 JROTC N101: Introduction to Leadership Education and Training is an introductory course designed to motivate young people to become better Americans. Subjects include U.S. Citizenship, customs and courtesies of the military, techniques of communication, leadership, cadet opportunities, goal setting, and time management.
LET2 JROTC N201: Leadership Education and Training contains a more advanced level of study than N101 in major subject areas: leadership, techniques of communication, first aid, hygiene, map reading, career opportunities, American Military History, role of the U.S. Armed Forces, cadet challenge, citizenship, and technology awareness. Emphasis is on leadership and communication skills. Principles of organization are expanded as applied to larger units.
LET3 JROTC N301: Leadership Education and Training continues the development of the cadet with advanced leadership training and management techniques by discussing group and individual behavior and practical application. Subjects include expansion of discussions and practical exercises on different types of organization staffs and their functions, military service opportunities, ROTC scholarships, techniques of communication, first aid/hygiene, map reading, land navigation, substance abuse, citizenship, and technology awareness.
LET4 JROTC N401: Advanced Leadership Education and Training expands on the psychology of leadership, moral aspects of leadership, group relations, and behavior management of resources. Subjects include leadership exercises for the cadet as a leader; planning the decision-making/problem-solving process and supervision performing these functions while serving in command and in staff positions. other areas include advanced communication skills, American Military History, career opportunities, and technology awareness. Emphasis is placed on giving the cadet practical experience as a leader.
